Everything you need to know about our handcrafted ship models, worldwide shipping and bespoke commissions — by Bobato Ship Models, Mauritius, since 1990.
Our Ship Models
How long does it take to build a ship model? ▼
Build time depends on complexity and size. A standard model takes 4-8 weeks, while bespoke commissions can take 12-16 weeks. We provide progress updates at every milestone.
What payment methods do you accept? ▼
We primarily work with bank transfer. After your order is placed, we will send a proforma invoice with our bank details. Full payment is required before shipping.
Shipping
Do you ship worldwide? ▼
Yes, we ship worldwide with insured delivery in bespoke crating. Each model is carefully packed to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
How are shipping costs calculated? ▼
Shipping is calculated based on your destination and the model's size and weight. The exact cost is confirmed after your order is placed, on your final invoice.
Custom & Bespoke
Can I commission a custom model of my own vessel? ▼
Absolutely. We specialise in bespoke commissions. Share your vessel's plans, photos, and specifications, and we will craft a museum-grade scale model tailored to your requirements.
How do I request a custom ship model quote? ▼
Open any model and click "Request a quote", or use our contact form. Share the vessel, size and any references, and we will get back to you.
