Santa Maria Ship model

Year: 1492
The Santa Maria boat model was Christopher Columbus’ flagship on his first voyage to the New World. Therefore, Christopher Columbus set sail on board of theSanta Maria boat model in 1492, alongside came the Nina and the Pinta. Most importantly, La Santa María (The Saint Mary), alternatively La Gallega, was the largest of the three Spanish ships used by Christopher Columbus
However, they leaf the port of Palos in search of a westward route towards Asia. After that, Columbus sailed for six days towards the Canary Islands, then after 33 days sailing he reached the Bahamas island. Therefore, the fort was the first Spanish settlement in the New World, which Columbus had claimed for Spain.
