Construction of the Boat :
We place a double layer of plank on the hull, Teak wood.
Decks made with small planks of Oak wood.
Masts and other pieces on the deck are made Teak and Acajou wood.
Sculptures, anchors, and canons are molded in Zinc metal and painted.
Cotton sails are tinted in the tea.
Ropes are cotton and nylon waxed in the bee wax to do the rigging.
Santa Maria 116cm History
The Santa María served as Christopher Columbus' flagship during his historic 1492 voyage to the Americas. This sturdy Spanish carrack (known as a nao) became one of the most famous ships in history by accidentally discovering the New World while seeking a western route to Asia.
