Saint Géran 75cm History

Launched in 1736 in Lorient, France, the Saint Géran was a 600-ton merchant vessel commissioned by the French East India Company.

Designed for trade between Europe and the East Indies, it carried textiles and metal ware to exchange for spices, defended by 18 cannons and a crew of soldiers against pirates.
