RMS Empress of Ireland
Launched in 1906 by Fairfield Shipbuilding in Scotland, the RMS Empress of Ireland was a transatlantic ocean liner operated by the Canadian Pacific Railway Company. It ferried passengers between Liverpool and Quebec City until its tragic sinking on May 29, 1914, after colliding with the SS Storstad in the St. Lawrence River.
