Chebec size 200cm History

The Chebec or (Xebec) was a fast, agile warship favored by Mediterranean corsairs and navies from the 16th to 19th centuries. Known for its sleek hull, lateen sails, and shallow draft, this vessel excelled in coastal raids, trade, and naval combat—particularly among the Barbary pirates of North Africa.
